Context and Challenge
Chantier’s IT System is based on a central SAP ERP. Although the system provides powerand reliability, employees needed new digital applications to perform their daily tasks.
Another important asset in the company is Alfresco ECM holding all the ship technical documentation.
The challenge was to build new UI optimized applications able to execute offline within the constructed ships, processing data from SAP and Alfresco.
Mission and Solution
Installed On Premises, Convertigo back end technology was used to provide mobile services from SAP and Alfresco and several mobile applications were developed on top of these services. Later on, the customer used the front end low code capabilities to build more apps faster.
Chantiers is also one of the first customer to use the No Code Studio to enable their employees to create their own digital apps. The company has currently more than 30 Citizen developers.
Benefits obtained
Decision was made to use Convertigo No Code Studio after having noticed that many users where using non managed cloud and Google Forms for critical data.
