Google CWC 1 Year, 10 Months ago

Recently I've upgraded to the latest version of Convertigo Studio 5.0.4-v22712. I've imported my original connector for a Google Search CWC. When Convertigo goes to extract the results page it seems to get stuck in an endless recursion of org.apache.regexp.RE.matchNodes(...) and eventually results in a stackoverflow.
I should note that I haven't used this since Google revamped their results page with a new layout. Perhaps that is related? However, I even tried recreating the extraction rules, but the problem persists.
Has anyone else had any problems with clipping Google Search results, or is it just me?

Yes, this is a known issue. It appeared on the new Google Page. This bug has been fixed in 5.1 beta.

Any thoughts on a possible workaround that could be used in the meantime? Do you think this could affect other CWC/CWI projects as well?

Unfortunately, not really, this is due to the URL rewriting process we have in webClipping. Try to extract less data (Get a more precise Xpath expression to your data).
We can deliver you nightly builds if you need this feature very quickly.
Yes this can affect WebClipping but not Web integrator.
Hope that Helps !
