Is javascript executed as part of the c8o server-side transaction subject to the same 'same origin policy' as javascript executed on the client?

Instead would we need to make a separate HTTPConnector to proxy data from a 3rd party service?

If you are talking about network restrictions in the URL you are able to reach from the javascript code, the response is no: there are no restrictions on the server side.

But on the other hand, you do not have any XmlHttpRequest object-like in the server side!

Could you be more precise?
