Design and combine your visual components (widgets)A "mashup" (also known as composite application) is a Web site or an application aggregating and exposing interactive content from multiple sources. Basic elements of mashups are widgets or mashables. C-EMS Mashup Composer is used to combine public consumer widgets like Maps, RSS feeds, email and news readers with specific enterprise widgets developed with C-EMS Studio. Enterprise widgets are created from clipping of existing standard Web applications, mainframe green screens, Web services, relational tables. C-EMS Mashup Composer is able to manage encrypted data, allowing users to access their mashups through authentication and ACL systems.
C-EMS Mashup Composer manages customization of components like DataViews or forms according to user rights. Execution of components is therefore adapted to users rights and preferences. One of the most important feature of C-EMS Mashup Composer is the ability to connect widgets together. These links generate dynamic interactions between widgets, like calling business actions of other DataWidgets.
For instance, a DataWidget created from a CRM application will be able to call a reverse phone number lookup function of another Directory DataWidget. With the concept of Web programming, C-EMS Mashup Composer provides a graphical design tool for orchestration of both visual components and Web services calls.
Business rules and variables are used to process mashup execution taking user rights, applications interactions and responses to Web services calls into account. C-EMS Mashup Composer is Web-oriented tool with a fluid and elegant Flex based user interface. It does not require any programming skills. |
