SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is a powerful architecture, bringing lot of benefits to businesses:

  • IT Agility and better alignment with business requirements
  • Interoperability between vendors
  • Flexible administration, compliant with IT governance policies
  • Monitoring tools

However, migrating existing applications to SOA is proven be a costly and time consuming effort. Redeveloping a business logic module, testing it and deploying it could be quite tedious. A pragmatic solution consists in reusing existing applications and wrap them through Web services (either SOAP or REST) that can be called from SOA applications

This is exactly what C-EMS C-EMS Web Integrator does. It can access any existing Web application, having been developed with any Web development languages, tools and frameworks such as CGI, FAST -CGI, .NET , JAVA Servlet , J2E, PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion...

C-EMS Web Integrator generates non-intrusive SOAP or REST interfaces from any Web application without writing any programming.

Convertigo Web Integrator relies on standard, non-structured HTML pages to access underlying business logic.

C-EMS Web Integrator can expose any HTML applications (including Web 2.0 Ajax ones) as SOA services that can later be called from any SOA client using either SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) or REST (Representational State Transfer) protocols.

C-EMS Web Integrator can be used for:

  • Integrating Intranet applications into BPM / SOA
  • Exposing new simple public API around existing Web applications
  • Accessing business logic hidden in existing business Web applications from new Web 2.0 Ajax-based applications, RIA, portals...
  • Accessing business logic within existing Web-based applications from new desktop applications

C-EMS Web Integrator also offers:

  • Structured SOAP/REST connectivity to access internal applications
  • XML connectivity to access any structured XML over HTTP
  • SQL connectivity to access any JDBC compliant database
