Eric Samson Appointed Product Marketing Manager for Convertigo
Paris, February 8, 2010. Convertigo, publisher of enterprise Mashup solutions, has bolstered its Management team, and in particular its Marketing department, with the appointment of Eric Samson as Product Marketing Manager.
Eric Samson brings more than 25 years of valuable experience in the IT industry, most notably in industries with strong added value including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web-Oriented Architecture (WOA). In this strategic position, Mr. Samson will play a decisive role in the growth and expansion of Convertigo’s product offering. He will also actively contribute to defining future technical and functional strategies for solutions marketed by Convertigo. Above and beyond this, he will help guide Convertigo in its international growth.
Before joining Convertigo, Mr. Samson was Technical Director at Progress Software, where his main responsibility was for upgrades related to Cloud Computing, SaaS and virtualization. He joined Progress Software following the buyout of Xcalia, which he co-founded in 2001. Before co-founding Xcalia, he held the position of Technical Director at Versant where he was responsible for the management of pre-sales teams, support, consulting and training in the EMEA zone. In this context, he worked for prestigious groups such as France Telecom, Alcatel, Nortel, Lucent, Sagem, Thalès and BNP Paribas.
Eric SAMSON began his career by starting up Allware Concept, a consultancy company specializing in new IT infrastructures, which was bought out by the Business & Decision Group.
Eric SAMSON has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Information Sciences from the University of Paris VI.
