Convertigo opens a US subsidiaryParis, 23 June 2010 - Convertigo, a French publisher of enterprise mashup solutions, is expanding across the Atlantic to market its Convertigo Enterprise Mashup Server platform. The company is stepping up its international development by opening a new subsidiary, giving Convertigo access to new sources of growth and extending its international outreach, hitherto centered on Europe. Specializing in designing composite applications and deployment of business applications on mobile devices, Convertigo US will help its customers implement rapidly and easily deployable solutions. Convertigo’s teams factor in the specifics of each business and speed up the development cycle for pragmatic, context-sensitive solutions that are operational within a very short timeframe. To achieve this, Convertigo has put together an agile, scalable offering that meets the expectations of many industries, in particular banking/insurance and e-commerce. Mashups are especially well suited to emerging uses; they enable end-users to take full advantage of all of a company’s applications through a set of intuitive interfaces. Convertigo mashups spectacularly increase workstation productivity and significantly reduce development costs. The new US branch is a reflection of Convertigo’s need to deploy and support its solutions at global-scale enterprises, and of the strong demand for mashup technologies in the US market. In addition to providing a local presence for the publisher’s support teams, a dedicated marketing department will be set up to offer better coverage of the North America zone and to develop market share in the region. Convertigo US will handle commercial and technical relations with local partners, particularly publishers and IT services firms. As Convertigo’s Executive Chairman François le Masne points out: “The opening of our subsidiary in the USA is a major milestone in Convertigo’s development. The efforts we made in 2009 to align Convertigo’s offering with the requirements of the American market are already bearing fruit. Big-name customers – notably in the finance and manufacturing industries – are currently deploying our solutions, proving that the company has the maturity to support key international accounts and confirming its position as a leader in enterprise mashups and an innovator in the composite applications space.” |
